A recipe recreated from restored brewing records from the 1800's. The use of traditional coloured and roasted malts give a unique rich and luscious flavour.

"Bottled (4.0%). Dark brown/red colour with mediumsized beige head. Roasted malts, some hops and cookies in aroma. Flavour is quite a lot of roasted malts, along with dark berries, some flowery hops and a bit of cookies in the finish. "

"Bottle. Dark brown coloured with a good sized off-white head. Nice roasted malt aroma. Interesting malty flavour, some chocolate perhaps and a light bitter finish. Smooth. I wish it had more alcohol, but very good nontheless."
