"Bottled. Deep rubyish brown colour with mediumsized brown head. Aroma is some yeast, fruits, caramel with an underlying tone of cowpoop... Flavour is a lot of malts and some mild fruits & caramel. Also some freshly cut wet wood and nuts. Very dry palate. Aftertaste is quite wooden and mildly herbal. "

"The bottle said "best before end march'09", which probably meant it was bottled in march'06, meaning it was already 1 1/2 years old (bottled). I say this because that might off course have had its influence on taste, etc.
The beer poured into the glass with a medium sized yellow-brownish collar, which disappeared as soon as the glass was filled, leaving 'eyes' floating on top it. (probably because of its age). Nevertheless the beer had a nice, slight fruitish aroma, with a bit of clove on top. The taste was likewise, mixed with a sense of yeast, kind of watery 'though. It's colour was somewhere between beige and ruby, kind of amber but very hazy (again probably because of its age).
A nice example of a belgian 'artisanaal' beer. Not the most complex and/or commercial kind of beers, but sure a typical example of belgian 'brewing art'. Should have had some more 'body'."
