"Sampled on draught: Pours a slightly cloudy orange colour with a full white head. Aroma is wheaty, yeast and grass. Mildly grass on the palate, little bit of berry flavor. Pretty average brew overall."

"Red-amber with a slight beige head that disappears fast. Light malt, apple and plum aromas. Full, smooth mouthfeel with an emergent spritziness. Flavors are flowery/grassy with a good malt base, firm hops and a light fruity finish. Soft and pleasant. MUSIC: 'Samskeyti' by Sigur Rós"

"I tried this one years ago. Back then I thought, gee, this beer was really flat. Now that I tasted it again, I wish I had not. The head is extremely thin to non existent. The hue is a very clear amberish copper. Hint of spice waft from the chalice, which is this beer's only positive attribute. De Koninck tastes like dish rag water. It's bland and very thin in the flavor department. The same holds true for the finish. I am sorry, but if it were not for the inviting spice aromas, this one would be a total dud.

"quite a nice lookin brew off hand. poured with a white, decently thick head that fell rather quick. light lacing is present. colour is a light copper. yeast and dark fruits make up the aroma, which isn't very pronounced. what didn't impress me was the flavour. although easy to drink, i couldn't get any strong flavours out of it. sweet malts and yeast pop out in the taste."

"330 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal pub, Stavanger. ABV is 5.0%. Brown colour, low head. Moderate but pleasant fruity aroma, hints of spices. The flavour is spicy with moderate malts, not very sweet, pleasant to drink. Relatively high carbonation in the glass. This is not an "extreme" Belgian ale in any way, and no "challenge" for the beer enthusiast, but probably an ale that most people will like."
