"Sampled on draught at the Brasserie V in Madtown: Pours a murky brown colour with a HUGE tan head. Aroma is sort of sour, yeasty with bready malts and cinnamon on the nose. Taste is sort of tart but rich, flavors all around, nuts, pear and citrus notes."

"This had a spicy aroma that was very nice. The appearance wasn't so inviting-a cloudy brownish color that looked very muddy. The flavor seemed to be a blend of spices such as cloves, nutmeg, caramel and honey-not bad but thick. It was a perfect brew for a cold evening."

"[BB 2/99] Poured a hazy amber color with a small, off white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of caramel malts, some cork, nuts, yeast, and light oxidation. Taste of more caramel malts, light cocoa, dried fruits, green apple, spices and light alcohol as well. Low carbonation / soft mouthfeel."

"Poured a cloudy golden color. Aroma was fruity and spicey. Flavor was light fruits and spices and hops in the finish, little thing on the mouthfeel, but not a bad beer"

"Aroma - fruity and spicy. Appearance - got to be the ugliest beer I've ever seen, amber with no head and so many floaties it looked like a slushie. Great mouthfeel. Flavor - much like it smelled, fruit and spices. Overall - okay, but not great. Definitely not worth the price."
