Delirium Nocturnum is a dark ale of 9% alcohol. It is a triple fermentation ale using 3 different yeast strains and 5 different malts. Incredibly well-balanced for an ale this high in alcohol, the bouquet has an aromatic sweetness. The body is bursting with flavors of raisins, bittersweet chocolate, and aniseed. The finish is long and develops into a hoppy aftertaste.

"330ml bottle
8.5% ABV
I tried this beer on January 20, 2012 at "The Beerbistro" in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer poured a solid dark brown with a thin tan head. The aroma was dark malt, sugar, fruit tones. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour is sweet dark malt, molasses, and fruit."

"WOW!! What the hell do these notes say from last week I have no idea, I’ll do my best though! Dark brown, small cap. Apple aroma, crap maybe peach now or is that only because there is a picture of a peach hidden under the foil on the cap…..Hey I’m doing pretty good so far interpreting my drunken scribble. Hints of cherry……….soup (don’t know what that means)…..sweet not gum but gum…….something something plums………….something something darkness……malty………… and the last phrase say’s “good beer but not but good”. GOOD JOB ME!!"

"Dark brown, low disappearing head. Sugary, yeasty aroma of alcohol, pears and almonds. Flavour of burnt sugar, dried cherries, candied pears, alcohol and raw yeast. Sugary finish of coffee and candied pears with a roasted undertone. Rough, sugary and unrefined. "

"Got the last bottle of this at Old Chicago. Pours out of the bottle a clear brown with a hint of red to it. Light brown head that doesn't last strong. Aroma is dominated by fuity notes. Thinner mouthfeel with a sweet, fruity taste that reminded me of raisins. Overall a great beer which I will be having again when its in season."

"Every bottle I've tried has said 8.5% ABV. This is a Belgian brown ale, yet has a triple fermentation (wouldn't that make it a tripel?). It pours a dark brown colour, the colour of mud really. The head is light brown and lasts a few minutes. The aroma is roasted malt, licorice, and dark fruits, with yeast. The flavour is sweet caramel, yeast, and has a hoppy finish."
