This beer was specially brewed for Dieu du Ciel’s sixth anniversary. It reflects the recent tendency of American brewers to push all beer styles to the extremes. This lager is therefore quite strong in alcohol and it has a sharp but delicate bitterness, like all pilsners. The beer is full-bodied and well balanced thanks to the delicate sweet flavours that come through. The Sixth night was born in our Montreal brewpub in August 2004.

"Enjoyed at the brewpub itself. Poured a golden-copper colour with a small white head that left a ring of lace. Hardly any carbonation. The nose was quite hoppy with some grain malts in the background. Watery mouthfeel. The taste had this very bitter hop resulting in some dryness in the back of the throat, and some wetness at the tip of the tongue. Overall, quite a kick of hoppy flavours. Very interesting style, that I am trying for the first time. Probably, could not enjoy two in a row of these though. "
