The light amber colour of this beer conceals an important cargo of hops. It’s light effervescence allows for the discrete fruity taste of the malt and the pronounced bitterness to be better appreciated. The aromas of fruits and hops spread over the palate and caste a spell over all who dare to taste this beer.

"Sampled at the brewpub, in company of S8n on September 17, 2005. This cask IPA was rated at 6% ABV on the chalkboard. This was my first time seeing a brew poured from the cask, which was done by pullling the big wooden handle, a couple of times. It pours a foamy head with excellent retention. The colour is a rich amber. The aromas are floral and fruity, but yet mild. Very smooth mouthfeel that is flat and slight syrupy. The taste starts off slight fruity and finishes on mild bitterness with a long aftertaste. A very nice smooth fruity and bitter IPA."

"My first cask and true IPA!!!!!!!!!!! Wow, was I ever impressed with this one, didn't quite know what to expect!! Well it pours an amber colour with an very bubbly off-white head that had surprisingly good retention. The aroma was slightly spicy hop. Mouthfeel was very smooth and slightly carbonated. Taste was a bit on the clove and hop side. Simply put, this is a very nice and refreshing beer and I can't wait to go back to Dieu du Ciel for another!!!!!"

"Wow, for an IPA, this one was outstanding. The floral aroma was pleasant and did not carry over into an overly-hopped IPA. Semi-sweet malt base was detectable and the lacing was left behind (top to bottom) while drinking. Fruitiness (hops) was mild and the flavor not bitter."
