"weird maple/vanilla notes in the nose and flavor. By weird i mean good. this is yet another DFH beer that defies catergory. i guess it's closest to a barleywine, but not what you expect. kudos for another unique brew."

"I really Like this one. Pours Brownish red in color with a bit of white head. Smells Of juniper and Smoke. Medium body with a fantastic finish the silky smooth. Flavor to me was like a vanilla Milk Shake and it drank like milk. I finished a bottle in like 3 minutes. Love this beer.

"Had this on tap at Rehobath, cognac glass, very nice after dinner, smooth, nice depth of flavor, an aquired taste, just what the barley wine drinker ordered and put a smile on his face..."

"Nice barley from dogfish. Can taste alcohol. dark brown and cloudy with a dogfish sweet taste. Fruity tasting and a little different. "

"pours a clear reddish amber color with a thin off white head. aroma reminds me of wine. aged in a oak comes to mind. flavor is sweet, smoky and spicy with a banana flavor hidden in there. the alcohol is there and makes you warm inside but is not overpowering. overall a nice brew and very worth trying."
