"well had to try it and since i have no ML experience not sure how to rate this one. Poured plain as could be with not head at all. Strong corn aroma. Flavor was very very sweet. Massive amount of sediment chunkies. LOL at the plastic screw off cap.

"Well, I won't be rating this one within style, cuz I'm not broad versed in malt liquors…. but nonetheless, it wasn't that great. The pour lacked any significant head outside of a few seconds, and there was no lacing (no special glass used on this sucker). The aroma was of corn, sweet corn. The flavor was malty rich sweet corn, too sweet for a beer, although within style probably typical? Drinkable, was not cloying and didn't get too thick. The alcohol didn't hide, as I guess this style isn't supposed to hide the alcohol. Sediment chunkies at the end of the bottle, hopefully they'll keep any headaches away. Kinda neat (they accomplished what they wanted to), but not all that. (Funky bottle, nice plastic cap, sorry to have not had it straight from the bottle in a brown bag.)"

"Awwww Yeahhhh!!!! It looks like I’m the first rater here to actually be enjoying this FINE malt beverage from its god-given 40oz packaging ensconsed in the critical brown bag. Okay, so I’ve got this Forty and in the geekiest beer move of my life I pour the stuff into a nice Duvel tulip glass. Well, it pours a deep and pretty rusty gold color with a giant and rocky tan head that fades slowly to a thin, lasting foam. The aromas of this stuff are simple and vague. Some sweet corniness, wet paper. I also detect some fruit on the nose - unripe berries? apple? The flavor is of pale malts and corn. Not that tasty, but what malt liquor is? What this beer has is what it is missing. What DFH left out are the nasty unpleasantries of a cheap malt liquor: the tin, the cloying, the spine shivering alcohol finish. The palate is coating and soft. Slight astringency on finish reminds of hops. Some honey on aftertaste. To be sure, I could easily drink this stuff on a regular basis if it was priced like other malt liquors and I was an unemployed drunk. Really, there is no reason to drink this beer beyond its novelty. Numbers slightly inflated because of style."

"This one sat in my fridge for a week or two and I’ll admit I was a bit afraid of it. After finally getting around to it at an Ale Atlanta meeting, I was surprised at how far from foul it was. (And here I was thinking it managed to get over a 3 just because it came from Dogfish Head). Slightly hazy gold. Minimal head. Corn-like aroma. The flavor is surprisingly like that of Worther’s candy or one of the Baskin Robbins ice cream flavors hard candies."
