"The appearance isn''t much -- the head is sluggish and fast-fading. Body is just what you''d expect from a Pale Ale. the aroma is slightly citrusy hops. The flavor is nice, however. Toasty malt, caramel and a bit of chocolate that does more to mellow the character than to be a prominent aspect of the flavor. Surprisingly crips. Hops are subdued (despite being the biggest part of the aroma). There''s a slight tea-like aspect to the flavor. Great drinkability, good session beer."

"So sad Dogwood’s gone away...I’ve always enjoyed picking a sixer of this for 6 bucks when not in an adventurous mood or low on cash. Well-crafted pale ale -- copper-colored and nicely hopped, with citrus/floral flavors."

"A little less than brown color with little head. It really kinda looked like ginger ale, head, carbonation and all. Kinda had a cool aroma, like hoppy grape juice. I thought it was just old, i mean it is old as they dont exist anymore. Kinda tastes alot like flat cream soda, the hops in the aroma didnt translate to the taste. Come back dogwood, come back."

"Orange gold color. Medium sized white foamy head. Aroma is fairly sweet (orange) and sweet. A medium bodied pale ale. Malts are fruity and very sweet. Mild slightly bitter hops. Nicely balanced. Lots of orange and spice flavors. English style pale ale. Very smooth taste. Extremely nice smooth finish. Mouthfeel is full and round, Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet. And once againÖ. DAMN IT ALLÖ they arenít around anymore"

"Pours a filtered cloudy orange color with nice head that quickly turns to a thin, white sheet. Aroma is slightly fruity. Taste is a bit thin bodied with a little bit of yeast but more citrus than anything. Drinkable but wouldn’t drink it again if I didn’t have to. Re-rate 12/13/04. Nicer appearance that the last time I had this. Taste has malted out a bit and isn’t as sour/acidic as I remember. Actually, it’s quite balanced now. Not a bad beer at all."
