Dos Equis Amber is a rich, full-bodied Mexican import with a reddish-gold color and is made from the finest ingredients, representing the brand’s traditional Mexican heritage. The history of Dos Equis Amber is traced to the development of the popular Oktoberfest-style of Vienna lager originally created during the mid-19th century.

"Recently enjoyed a couple 22 oz mugs with dinner at a Mexican restaurant. Deep amber color with very little head. Carbonation level is perfect for food. Malt dominates the flavors. Refreshing enough to quench the burn of the hotest foods I love so much but not so strong as to leave you worn out."

"I thought i would prefer this one over the regular dos XX but this one wasnt very good. Aroma and flavor of old grain. Mouthfeel was a little thin. The body was a dark amber with a thin head that quickly disappated, no lace left on the glass. I probably wont try it again."

"This is my beer of choice when having hearty Mexican fare. With more flavor and body than Corona, it pairs well with heavy nachos and the like. Good color and great flavor."

"Falls into the Corona family of beers, but in my opinion is more suited for food as it has a little more body. I had one of these with a burger and it went pretty well. Very drinkable when out to dinner if you want something cheaper or don't like heavy beers."

"355ml bottle
4.60% ABV
I tried this beer on March 7, 2008 at "Smokeless Joe's" in Toronto. The beer poured a solid reddish-brown colour with a thin white head. The aroma was primarily grassy with a little malt. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied, but highly carbonated. The flavour was grassy, a little malt, and a little sourness. Definitely better than a Corona or a Tecate."
