This most famous of English ales takes its name from the twin diamonds symbol which, over a hundred years ago, was chalked on each wooden cask to denote the very finest of ale produced by our breweries.

"This ESB was an decent experience. It was canned, and whence poured, was reddish brown in colour with a decent head. The aroma was malt and nuts, similar to a lot of English Bitters. The flavour was malty, with some brown ale hoppiness."

"20oz draught
5.0% ABV
I recently tried this on tap at a local Toronto eatery and found it to be a very boring beer. The colour was a nice golden hue with an off-white head that lingered for a while. The aroma was nothing spectacular, slightly malty but long lasting. The flavour was mild, not strong, not bitter as I had expected. Like other ales I have tried it was slightly thick on the tongue with weak carbonation."

"Nitro can is interesting as is the beer in general. Its not like any of the bitters ive tried and i've tried quite a few. I suspect its made primarily made for the export market. That being said its a decent brew. Very light on the attack, a nice caramel colour with a bit of lacing. A sweet mildness on the attack but not too much flavour. Decent Brew"

"Orange to amber in color with a very nice head, good solid retention, nice continuous lacing. Aroma was toffee and fruity esters. The flavor was fruity, tea bags, watery with a slight hop touch in the finish. Moderate body and carbonation noticeable."

"It pours an orangeish color. It tasted good but in a very different way. Very unique taste to me. There wasn't much for mouthfeel in this beer. Overall it would be something that I would like to try again."
