A strong dark red coloured beer with the roast coffee and dark chocolate flavours of dark malts complimented by the tastes and aromas of Challenger, Pioneer and East Kent Goldings hops.

"Had it as Downton Dark Delight, 5.5%. Dark amberish ruby/brown colour with mediumsized bubbly head. Aroma is hops, wood, some caramel and chocolate. Flavour is sweet caramel malts as well as grass and some wooden hints. The finish gets hayish/grassy and dry. Some slight roast also, once it got warmer. "

"Bottle. Dark red colour with a slim, creamy white head. The bottle version is 6.0%. Aroma has coffee and chocolate, as does the taste, plus dark malts. Full bodied with a light hoppy bitter finish. Very nice."
