This Kolsch-style ale is light and crisp for those who enjoy a more mellow beer. It is brewed with a gentle addition of Noble hops, presenting a pleasant herbal and spicy aroma, and then cold conditioned for a clean finish.

"This brew is pretty average all around. The aroma is of grains. The appearence is yellow golden with a white head that hangs around leaving good lace. The mouthfeel is crisp and thin. The flavor is sour wheat, pretty good. Overall it is average."

"Bottle. Poured a clear yellow color with a thick, white head. Aroma is malty and grassy. Flavor is a sweet malt and hop balance. A lot better than the aroma was leading me to believe this was. Not a bad summer brew."

"Not a bad brew at all, the Drakes Blonde pours a light yellow color with a good head. I'm not a big fan of this style, but this brew was easier to drink than any other I've had in this category. The flavor doesn't overpower, which is nice for this type of brew. The taste is some grassy flavors with a hint of citrus and a very slight spice finish. The mouthfeel is nice, maybe a bit too thin though. Drakes continues to impress me. "

"This is incredibly easy to drink. Crisp and refreshing, it's a fantastic beer for the summer (eventhough it's January) but can be enjoyable anytime of course. The pour is this cloudy golden hue with a nice foamy head. Aroma is malty, a tad bit spicy (which I loved) and some citrus. Mouthfeel is moderate/full, finish is very clean and smooth. While it was in my mouth there were notes of a sweet, grasy maltiness character that I found really nice with a touch of lemony goodness. Damn, this is a fine beer that should be enjoyed year round. "This is surprisingly good, actually. Pours a full, but pale gold that catches the light and seems to glow on its own almost. The head is bright white and lingers. The aroma is light, mostly light noble hops. The flavor is bright and crisp, citrusy and straw malt flavors. The hops are very reminiscent of pilsner hops, as is the malt profile. This is light and chuggable but avoids being bland. The quintessential summer beer."
