"Pour was orange straw with nice head and lacing. The aroma was weak funk. Man, this is one rich and creamy beer…excellent mouthfeel. The flavor was tart fruit, a very mild level of spice and a mild barnyard funk. This is a different kind of saison, but I really enjoyed it!"

"This saison pours a cloudy deep peach orange color form a cork-finished 750ml bottle. Large sized, long lasting white foamy head, with good retention and excellent lacing. Aroma is fruity, spicy and floral. A medium bodied saison. The malts are fruity; lots of orange, green apple and lemon fruitiness give way to spiciness and grassiness. A little yeasty as well. A little hoppy for a saison, but it works, that hop bite balances and mixes well with the fruit, spice and yeasty. Lively carbonation. Hides the 9% alcohol well. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is crisp and nearly bone dry. Aftertaste is slightly tart. "

"Had this on draught last night at Brick Store Pub. Served in a snifter. Poured a very pretty hazy gold with a thick foamy white head. The nose was citrusy and floral. Mouthfeel was light with a clean, dry finish. Although I do not often drink saisons, I think this is the perfect rendition of the style. There is a lot of light sweet maltiness and breadiness with the yeast providing a sour tinge to balance it out, in addition to some grassy/floral hops. This is a crisp and refreshing beer loaded with tons of flavor! "

"(vintage 2000) Dark hazy golden, rich fluffy white head. Herbal, yeasty, peppery and rather vinous aroma. Nice. Flavour starts of sweet honey like malts. Finishes of herbs, hay, pepper, yeast, cheese, wood, all-spice and alcohol. Soft mouthfeel. Excellent saison."

"If you like the saison sytle of beer, then you will love this. Everything that makes a saison what it is is all right here. Aroma is spicy, grassy, citrusy, malty and bready. Pours out a rather large fluffy head, bright orange color...looks really inviting. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, rather spritzy in the tongue. Flavors were interesting enough to keep even the most jaded reviewers attention. A little citrus, hay, vinegar, yeast, peppery and my favorite...a little funk going on. It's not real prominent in any one flavor profile but it does a lot of little things really, really well."
