This barley wine is golden in colour with a luscious malty body. A complex blend of hops give an interesting depth and balancing bitterness. The finish lingers with a rich warmth. Something very special.

"500 ml bottle, bought in Scarborough. Bottle conditioned. ABV is 8.4%. Deep golden colour, huge head. Lovely aroma of hops, orange and oak. The flavour is hoppy and fairly sweet, notes of bitter oranges and spices, the alcohol is noticeable. Bitter finish and aftertaste. Must be a great accompaniment with mature cheeses. Nearly too powerful on its own."

"Hazy reddish orange. Rich belgian-style white foam. Deep aroma of raisins, , vanilla, dades, port and pepper with unexpected hoppy notes of orange-peels and grass. Full and warming but not overly sweet flavour of dades, crackers, all-spice, raisins and alcohol. Full-bodied of course with a rather strong carbonation. Sweet and fruity finish og raisins, red apples, blue grapes, wet wood, yeast and pepper with dryish notes of orange-peels. Another great beer from Durham. "
