Dark , fuggley and can be slightly sweet. Brewed using pale malt, crystal malt, and black malt, and only Fuggles hops.

"Cask@Wenlock Arms. Rubyish amber colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is dark fruits, yeast and some hops. Flavour is very much the same along with slight hints off coffee. "

"Cask at the Ipswich Beer Festival 2004, gravity dispense. Dark mild. Aroma of prunes, hints of cigarbox. Well rounded flavour, lightly roasted, hints of liquorice. Nice."
