"Sampled on draught: Pours a bright bright ruby red colour with an enormous white head. Aroma is fruity and enticing, licorice, raspberries and cherries on the nose. Taste is creamy, definately well carbonated in the mouthfeel. Flavours of cherries, peaches and soft oak."

"Bottle: Poured a deep red color ale with a rather large pink color foamy head with average retention and no lacing. Aroma consists of a load of cherries with some notes of oak. Taste is also a mix between loads of cherries that are sour but also lightly sweet but some light sour and tart notes with some oak presence also noticeable. Full body with some great carbonation and no appearance of alcohol. Very well done and definitely something I wish I could get more often."

"11.2 oz bottle, best by 8/14/09. Pours a clear deep red with a fizzy rose head that retains well and leaves some big bubbled lacing.
The aroma is acidic and tart cherries, wood, yeast and some sweet candy sugar.
The flavor is sweet acidic cherries with a strong tart sour tang to it, a bit of funky yeast and wood show up as well. The mouthfeel is medium bodied and syrupy with a bit of sharp carbonation.
Overall, a fun sour ale - one of the better ones I've had. The sweetness and tartness are a bit strong, but I liked this quite a bit."

"This is billed as a fruit lambic here. At Max's on Broadway in Baltimore, MD, this was billed as a "Flemish Ale with Cherries". I've been on a big Flemish ale kick lately, so I had to try this one out, especially since it was on draught.
The beer was served in a goblet and had a nice dark reddish/brown coloration to it. The beer had a decent head that quickly went away. As you drank the beer down, there was a nice lacing left behind on the goblet walls. The aroma was awesome. It had a hearty vinegar and cherry smell to it. I could defintely tell this one was going to be super sour.
As with some Flemish sours, the first sip is always the "clean out the sinuses, suck in the cheeks, and batten down the hatches" gulp. This one was no exception. It was very tart and dry. The taste was that of cherries and a hint of wood. The sour flavor was awesome. I shared it with others at the table (non beer-aholics) and judging by their reactions, I knew this one was right on target.
Bottom line, I liked it a lot, giving it an overall of 9 out of 10. This is very well done and especially coming off a draught, it was a special brew. I guess that explains the hefty price tag. Very enjoyable though. "
