"Bottle. Rubyish amber colour with beige head. Aroma is syrup, toffee and some mild roasted notes. Flavour is roasted malts along with some mild coffee, smoked wood and a bit of hops. Also quite sweet. Big sweet caramel malty as well as roasted finish and aftertaste. Really pleasant schwarzbier. "

[2] Review by ghaugrud from Minneapolis, MN, USA who has tried this beer a couple times. (9/26/2006 5:13:37 PM)
"This beer had the appearance and taste like many wish brown ale to be like. It is a Bohemian black beer with a shade between brown ale and creamy stout, but it is a lager. The taste is a bit nutty and sweet, but not as sweet as Newcastle. It is not as heavy as you would think but still is creamy with a nice head that does not fade away. Taste is simply perfect."
