Egils Lite kom á markað 1. september 2004 og hefur á skömmum tíma skipað sér sess meðal mest seldu bjóra landsins. Á stuttum tíma hefur Egils Lite bjórinn unnið gullverðlaun í tveimur alþjóðlegum keppnum bjórframleiðenda, í belgísku Monde selection keppninni sem haldin er árlega og í World Beer Cup 2006, heimsmeistarakeppni bjórframleiðenda í flokki kolvetnissnauðra bjóra.

"Canned. Pale golden colour, small white head. Aroma is rubber, metal and grain along with some slight notes of malts. Flavour is malty, metallic and rubbery. Not that exciting and better to stay away imho. "
