"330ml swing top bottle. Nice ppppffffsssst upon opening, great pour, excellent murky golden, shy of amber, colored pour. The head was bright white, great retention, solid rings of lacing, great sedimentation chunkies on the bottom, like tea leaves, I love that. The aroma was doughy/bready (yeasty maybe), spicey, coriander-pepper combination. The flavor was bready malts, some sweetness, orange-citrus notes, some minty zing, lots of peppery flavors, coriander underneath, somewhat of a saison-witbier combo, something that was really working for me while drinking. Finish is crisp, dry, peppery, refreshing. Mouthfull was hearty, full for the style (witbier listed), much more like a saison mouthfeel. YUM!"

"(5,9%). Hazy yellow colour, big white bubblyish foamy head. Aroma of sour apples and yeast along with hints of spices. Very tempting aroma. Flavour is yeast and spices, and quite dissappointing when compared to the promising aroma. Sour apples can also be found in flavour. Aftertaste is mainly yeast. Really a witbier? "

"Light gold color. Medium white foamy head. Aroma is apples, peaches and a touch of grass. A medium body wit. Malts are fruity. Orange, lemon, peaches and apricots. Nicely spicy, floral, yeasty and bright. Finishes up very dry. Light and refreshing. Very tasty wit. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet."

"Now this is a change of pace for me -- in two ways, actually. One being that I never drink Witbier (always too much corriander and such getting in the way of the beer), and Two, this is a Witbier I actually enjoy drinking, for the very same reason -- this has little to no spice characteristics trying to fortify an otherwise dull beer. No, this particular doesn't need any special spices to stand on it's own.
Also missing is the massive, mounding foam-monster of a head that I normally see with this sort of beer. Rather, a rather calm layer of foam lazily hugged the top of this beer -- not giving up much in the way of lacing, but not vanishing into thin-air, either....
Surprisingly nuetral aroma -- eve after I let this warm up a while. No fruit-n-spice, but some sort of nose would have been appreciated here.
Nice and clean and refreshing in the mouth -- definately an easy-drinking quaffer, this one. But don't rush to slam this down like some common-denominator beer -- take the time to check out the nice and delicate malt- and hop-profiles on this one, eh? Kind of a rustic (woodsy?) feel to the aftertaste, that provides a nice change of pace to the otherwise uniform staid flavor profile....
As mentioned before, this is a quite easy to drink, and I can see this being a good lunch-time beer in Belgium, before getting hot-and-heavy with the nation's infamously bigger beers. Recommended.
