[1] Review by Brad Pear from Snake View, Ca., USA who has tried this beer a couple times. (3/25/2005 1:21:22 AM)
"Pours a deep copper, almost red, but not quite. First sniff brings out slight vanilla, then carmel. The head is large and persistant-lacing is persistant as well. Flavor is caramel and hops, with no sweetness. Tiny bit of vanilla, but leaves quickly, hoppy finish but not bitter, lingers on the lips. As local tradition, no bittering hops are used, lnly aroma hops.
This is the lightest bock I have seen from the Hirsch, and one helluva session bier. Small batch, I am told will last ten days at best.
