"Let me start with the least positive thing about this beer, the lack of flavor, the only thing i can taste is the bitterness which lasts a long time, not that it is bad but considering the aroma, was a little of a let down. Getting back to the aroma it reminded me of canned fruit cocktail, a very sweet mixture of pineapple, cherry, pear ect, very nice. Appearance was a deep amber with lots of yeast floaters and a '1' finger light tan cap. Overall it was really good, even though the flavor wasnt as expected, i would certainly buy this again and again. So far my favorite of the flying dog beers."

"Bottled. Deep amber colour, small white head. Aroma is alcohol, sweet malts, some fruityness as well as mild berryish notes. Flavour is big time hops sweetened up by the alcohol. Also has some grassy notes as well as mild earthyness. Big beer, which is quite wellbalanced. "

"Bottle. Pours a cloudy orange-brown color with a light white head. Good lacing. Aroma is very sweet with hints of malt and fruit. Flavor is loaded with alcohol, a lot of hops, and the finish is very lemony. A pretty different beer. Thanks to TimmyK77 for the bottle."

"From the bottle. Pours a hazy orange with an enormous white head that lasted a long time and leaves a thick lacing down the sides. Aroma is hoppy and citrusy. Flavor is heavy on the hops to the point where it's somewhat overpowering. Could have balanced this better. A good beer overall though."

[5] Review by Hannah from OK, USA who has tried this beer once. (10/22/2007 7:55:58 PM)
"Pours opaque copper with small, fading head. The aroma has big hop character, mainly herbal and citrus with some pine. The flavor boasts tangerine, bitter orange, grapefruit, pine, and a subtle roastiness in the malt base. Big flavor & delicious...makes me wish I didn't skip FD on my recent trip to CO. Full bodied with ample carbonation, but less than I expected. Best at cellar temperature like all the best."
