"more wheat and citrus than clove/banana/yeast, but it's still there. i liked this one, but there are better examples out there (schneider anyone) so i think it's a little overrated at #4 of 500+, but still pretty tasty."

"Nice orange weisse, smelled OK, dissapointed with mouthfeel and flavor, not much came thru for clove and banana. This is still a good German Hefe, not one my favorites."

"Wow. I somewhat knew what I was expecting going in, but this beer far exceeded what expectations I had. The taste of cloves and a mild banana is there, but it does not interfere with the other tastes in the beer at all. I bough this in a brown "Mini Wine" shaped bottle. Gold foil covers neck and cap."

"THis is one of the first hefe I have had. I am pleased with the aroma and appearance. A golden pour with a yeasty, spicy note. However, the taste was a bit too pronounced for me. I feel maybe I will try another hefe and see if I don't like the style or just Franziskaner."

"Great beer. Pronounced wheat taste, noticeably spicy. I could've just sat and smelled it and been happy. Smelled like fruity potpourri. Beers with monks on the label are yet to disappoint."
