"Bottled 8 Nov 05, expires 8 Mar 06. Not for the hefe purist, as this one was more like an alt-weissbier, the cloves and bananas underplayed in the flavor and aroma. Really much like an American wheat in wheat beer-ness, although cloudy, as this one had a dry and somewhat hoppy touch (like Fuchschen's standard altbier) that overplayed anything otherwise German wheat about this one. In terms of standard hefe character, the appearance was it. However, a unique spin on this style deserves some credit for novelty sake."

"Bottle at Arcari, Gastatte, Altstadt, Dusseldorf. Cloudy orange/yellow colour with a foamy white head.
Aroma is fresh and fruity. Flavour has got bananas, lemons and wheat. Very nice dry finish. An unexpected and excellent find."
