"Six pack from the grocery store, I was surprised to discover that this is a dunkel and fairly good one at that. Chestnut in color with a small collapsing khaki head and spotty lacing. Faint aroma of roasted, earthy malts and green, mild noble hops. Bittersweet on the taste buds and lightly filling. Drinks easily, but gets much fuller and creamier as it warms. Nutty and malty with a good sweet aspect. Hops aren't very noticeable but they add a solid balance. Smoked, peaty aftertaste that is nice. A good dunkel that keeps it's lager characteristics while showing some depth in the flavor department."

"Pours a clear amber color with a nice malty aroma. Not over powering. Has a sort of sweet flavor and is very smooth..you would not expect it to be 6.4% alc/vol."

"Pours clear amber with small, airy head. Aroma is balanced and pleasant; slightly sweet. Mild maltiness of bread and toffee comprise the flavor, which I found enjoyable overall. Hides its strength well. Good session beer."

"Sampled from bottle. Pours clear, dark amber with a thin creamy head. Bready, caramel aroma. Slightly sweet and clean flavor. Medium-full bodied and smooth. A well-crafted lager - just a little plain."

"Bottle/Recipe number 01. Purchased six pack. Pours a deep copper color with a thick off-white head. Head settles down halfway through the beer but still a good amount of foam lacing ends up on the glass. There's some malts and fruits in the aroma and an overall fresh air kind of smell which isn't necessarily bad. First off theres a hint of a sweet fruity flavor, kind of floral with a smooth caramel maltiness following. Some brown sugar, which could be a hint of spicy hops mixed in but not much. Very clean. A mild caramel flavor lurks in the aftertaste. The label refers to this as "easy drinking" and they aren't kidding. It's really almost too easy drinking and smooth. Not the strongest flavor but overall I like this beer, it's quite solid. Also it's not expensive either so could be a great candidate for a session brew. "
