"Bottled (thanks heemer77!). 2005 vintage. Very deep ruby red colour, close to black. Not much head. Aroma is earth cellar, licorice, alcohol, vanilla and some wood. Flavour is licorice, alcohol, some mild acidicness. Aftertaste is big licorice, alcohol and very peppery. "

"absolute perfection this is a huge beer poured so dark and thick with a thin brown head very strong alcohol and coffee aroma the flavor is just mind blowing with tons of alcohol chocolate and toffe the mouthfeel is lightly carbonated but with an extra bite from the bourbon and oak nice lacing on the glass and an aftertaste that just hangs around to remind you of the perfection great beer"

"Great beer to celebrate Christmas Eve. Pours a heavy, blackish brown color with very little head. A little dark fruit, lots of chocolate and coffee, and an awesome bourbon flavor. Lots of alcohol, but it compliments the bourbon taste. This is by far one of the best beers I have had."

"Bottle. Poured a thick black color with a light brown head. Terrific strong aroma of malt and bourbon. Mouthfeel is tremendous. Flavor is a nice blend of chocolate, malt, vanilla, wood, and bourbon. This is a very solid beer, maybe even worth the $18 a four-pack."

"WOW!! Poured thicker than frozen motor oil. The aroma was the best I've had the pleasure of smelling. Smells like bourbon poured over chocolate. The taste is very full of alcohol up front then the flavor explosion of chocolate, coffee and bourbon. Awesome beer...really, really great beer! "
