Kölsch, the clean and refreshing beer style of Cologne, brewed with authentic German hops and malt, quenches Chicago’s summertime thirst. Pleasant fruit bread aromas lead to a light pale malt palate with toasted French bread and mild citrusy hops. Finishes smoothly with mild bitterness. Food pairing suggestion: Crispy Chicken Salad and Shrimp Po' Boy.

"Bottle: Poured a golden color Kolsch with an average pure white foamy head with minimal retention and no lacing. Aroma consists of some semi-sweet malt with not much else to report. Taste is a mix between some semi-sweet malt without the grainy aspect and no distinctive feature form the yeast which is usually the case with this style. Average at best and not something I would like to try again."

"Decent aroma with a hint of citrus. Light blonde color with little head and little lacing. Tastes of lemons. Feels like water and might as well be. Nice on a hot day but not much else."

"Golden yellow pour with minimal head. Slight lacing over time resembles water. Not impressed with this beer. I'm really trying to like Goose Island's products but so far they have been average at best."

"This was nice. It had a subtle sweetness from the wheate. It was nice and mild and made it a great accompaniement to almost any food. Nice smooth aftertaste. Good light summer brew."

"Suprisingly wheaty for a Kolsch, or maybe it was just me. Pours a slightly cloudy golden borderline orangeish colour with a full rising white head. Lemon, grass and yeast on the nose. Taste is smooth, fruity with a semi tart finish. "
