Double IPAs are hoppier, maltier and have more alcohol compared to their little siblings, standard IPAs. Hercules Double IPA is not for the faint of heart. It is, however, fit for the gods. Hercules Double IPA delivers a huge amount of hops from start to finish. Its hefty backbone of nutty, malt character balances its assertive hop profile. Hercules Double IPA is 9.1% alcohol by volume and 85 International Bittering Units (IBUs).

" "Its not for the faint of heart", Wow! they got that right, I'm glad I had another ipa before this one, otherwise my taste buds would have been decimated if this was the first beer of the day. A deep orange-amber body, minimal carbonation with tan head, all the suspended particles made it look like my glass was dirty. Aroma was very piney and floral, it remined me of canned pineapples, very sweet. It was almost to intense to enjoy the flavors of sweet nutty malts, citrus and fruit. A little too hoppy for me, but a great beer, If you enjoy a super hopped beer this one is for you."

"This is an absolute monster! The aroma of this brew is amazing. Hoppy, citrus, flowers. Pours a copper color with nice, long lasting lacing. A bit resiny, but not a drawback. Tastes of pine, orange and lemon with a great malty finish. This is truly a DIPA to be reckoned with. A little pricy, but well worth it. After consuming a Titan IPA, previous to this, Great Divide shows why they are one of the best brewers around. Highly recommended.

"I tried this one after sampling a home brew, an IPA as well. Unfortunately the home made brew was darking in color, more nose complexity and sutbler in hoppy bitterness. Overall, not a bad IPA except it was a little too hoppy at the moment."

"Straight 8's. This was a good beer indeed. The hops were strong and the flavor intense. My only problem with this beer was the last sip - it seemed all the hops sunk to the bottom and it was really intense - even too much for a major hop head like me."

"It pours an orange-red/brown with an inch tan head and concentrated lace. Sweet aroma of hops, grapefruit/pineapple/citrus complex, malts, and mild spice. The mouthfeel is crisp, smooth, rich, and full-bodied. Flavors of caramel malts, citrus, berries, mild spices, and hops. Excellent and well-balanced."
