Looking for something a little different? Brewed with rice and barley malts, Samurai is an easy drinking, unfiltered ale that changes the status quo for unfiltered beers. The addition of rice gives Samurai a slightly fruity, crisp, refreshing and clean taste. This is definitely not your everyday unfiltered beer.

"12 oz bottle. Pours a hazy yellow with big yeasties and a frothy white head that retains well and laces the glass.
The aroma is sweet musty soapy bready malts.
The flavor is pretty bland - a little sweet malt and a touch of fruits with a little grassy bitterness that leads to a dry finish. The mouthfeel is medium bodied and watery with some sharp carbonation.
Overall, a pretty bland offering from GD. There's nothing offensive, but nothing really appealing about it either."

"Pours golden-yellow with puffy, white head and thick lace. Smells of barley malts, citrus, and mild spice. The mouthfeel is smooth and full-bodied. Flavor of rice/barley malts, light hops, pineapple/citrus, and light spice. "

"This golden ale pours a slightly hazy yellow gold color from a 12 oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity and sweet, touch of grass and some yeast. A light bodied blonde/golden ale. The malts are fruity and sweet, with some yeast and grassiness. The hops are mild and slightly spicy. A light bodied blonde ale. Very lovely looking, lively carbonation, with nice steady streams of tiny bubbles. Not as sweet as most blonde ale, in fact it finishes rather dry. A clean and crisp, light refreshing beer. Some but not a lot of flavor. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is crisp and dry. Aftertaste is slightly bitter."

"I had this one at Taco Mac here in Georgia up in Roswell. The aroma is sweet and with some biscuit malt and adjuncts like rice. The appearance is a dull yellow with hints of light bronze with a white head that diminishes. The mouthfeel is light and could be more complex but has good balance. The flavor is malty with hints of sweetness with a nice bitter finish that is crisp and smooth. Overall, not a bad brew but is a bit filling and the rice makes this brew remind of macro swill, nonetheless, an interesting take from Great Divide"

"Pale yellow, decent head, no lacing. Light aroma of malty. Flavor wasn't bad, but a bit bland for my liking. Dreadfully dull, actually. The mouthfeel was nice and smooth. Nice for what it was trying to be, I guess."
