This West Coast-Style India Pale Ale is extravagantly hopped, full flavored, medium bodied and copper colored. A menagerie of hops is combined throughout the brewing process to impart specific characteristics. Hops used include Simcoe for a unique fruitiness and grapefruit zest, Columbus for strong hop pungency, Centennial for pine and citrus notes, and Cascade for floral aroma.

"Off the tap at the J. Clyde in Birmingham. Pretty much a standard fare west coast IPA. It met all requisite characteristics and expectations. I'd have it again."

"Nothing outstanding here. Nice pour and head. Mouthfeel is watery. Tasty hops. Soapy finish. I don't see what all the fuss is about. This is a mediocre IPA."

"Really like the grapefruit and lemon fruitiness of the simcoe hops. Not exactly a unique Ipa, but one of the better ones. A shadow of its bigger brother, but a fine, full-flavoured, malty, beer that stays true to its origns. Stay classy, San diego. "

"Wonderful IPA from a great California brewer. Plenty of the 4-packs have been getting shelf space in my area and I couldn't be happier. Pale and dry malt with lots of pine and citrus hops. Sticky and bitter, but not overly done."

"Pours a true copper color, a little hazy, with a thin, creamy head. Notable lacing left behind. The hoppy aroma is unusually scented by spearamint; there are also floral and citrus notes. VERY bitter on the front end of the flavor experience, some maltiness detected through the middle. Finishes clean and dry. Medium bodied and gently carbonated with no notable warming, which is an accomplishment at 7% abv. First sample of a Green Flash brew and I'll be looking for more."
