An Abbey beer, burgundy in color, very full bitter-sweet flavor with hints of caramel. Several malts and double fermentation.

"Bottle: Poured a deep brown color ale with a light off-white head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma consists of candi sugar with some deep Belgian sweet malt. Taste is a well balance mix between some candi sugar and some semi-sweet Belgian malt. Body is quite full for the style with some good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. This one may be lacking some complexity (dry fruits for example) but still a very good and solid example for the style."

"This is without a doubt the best $2 I have ever spent on beer. Pours a deep mahogany with a sparse yet sudsy tan head. Full of chocolate, cherries, plums, raisins. Some alcohol detected in the aroma and taste. Finishes with a slightly brandy-esque quality (must be the alcohol). So delicious, it makes me kind of mad that I only bought two."

"This was not your expected Abbey Ale. Not the alcoholic bite I'd come to associate with an Abbey Ale. But certain Belgian, with strong yeasty aroma and taste."

"Pours an unnaturally-clear ruby brown with a large foamy tan head and copious lace. The nose is lightly sweet with dark cherry brown sugar and vanilla notes. Full, rich slightly carbonic palate. Smooth, dry chocolate cherry flavors with a dry red wine finish. MUSIC: 'Double Vision' by The Ponys"

"This beer poured with a deep amber body topped off by a medium sized light tan colored head that left a very small amount of lace down the sides of the glass. The aroma is malty and sweet with some yeasty tones coming through as well. The mouthfeel is medium bodied and slightly creamy. Flavor starts off with some sweet caramel malt leading into some nice spicy and yeasty flavors and finishes with a fruity tone that lingers throughout."
