"Pours a copper color with some nice, long lasting egg shell colored lacing. Hop Bomb. Aggressively hopped with nice citrus overtones. Taste is all about the hops. Initial piney taste, followed by a nice malty finish. Long lasting flavor with a less bitter finish than I had expected. Hoppin' Frog continues to impress me with their ability to brew world class brews. Midwest represent. Recommended. "

"Bottle: Poured a bright copper color ale with a medium foamy head with good retention but minimal lacing. Aroma consists of deep caramel malt with some astringent and bitter hops. Taste is also a mix between some caramel malt with limited sweetness and some astringent and dry bitter hops. I would have better appreciated this beer had more citrusy or floral notes been discernable. Medium body with good carbonation and no alcohol tasted. Not bad overall but still far away from some of the top beers from this style."

"This is a very nice IPA. Nice citrusy hops on the nose. A very rich (by IPA standards) maltiness backs up the assertive, but not harsh, bitterness. Pretty tasty. Carries its weight well."

"This beer poured with a very nice dark orange to light copper colored body topped off by a medium sized khaki head that left pretty nice lace down the sides of the glass. Aroma was bright citrus hops with just a touch of alcohol in the nose. Mouthfeel is full bodied and silky smooth. The flavor is a great blend of grapefruit, apricot, pine, mango, peach, balanced off with just the right hint of sweet caramel malt. A great IIPA worth seeking out."

"Final samples during the Winter Warmer Festival, thought I'd end the day with a nice aggressive DIPA...turned out to be a wise choice. Deep reddish copper color with a swirling light tan head and heavy lacing. Stingingly fresh hop aroma of citrus, pine, and flowers. The powerful aroma caused my mouth to salivate, very inviting. Heavy on the palate, fresh and very bitter. An "oh my goodness" flavor of big heavy malt and powerful hops. Creamy, sweet malty tones with some light caramel. Upfront in your face citrus & pine. Lots of grapefruit and evergreen. A fresh, big beer that is really well crafted."
