Huvila Stout is a pitch-black, heavy oatmeal stout. The oat gives it a silky-smooth character, balancing the dry roastiness originating from roasted barley. The aroma is strongly roasty, coffee-like and slightly spicy. The flavor is strong, smooth and full-bodied, and the aftertaste is long, roasty and warming. The recipe has been developed with help of Pekka Salminen, a beer enthusiast from Turku. Ingredients: water, light and dark caramel malt, chocolate malt, roasted barley, oatmeal, Hallertau Perle hops, Irish ale top yeast. Colour 280 EBC. Serve between 10 and 14 degrees C.

"Black colour, brown mediumsized foamy head. Aroma is roasted malts and chocolate with a hints of some sweeter hops and slight salted licorace. Flavour is chocolate, salted licorace, roasted malts and some slight hops. I liked it otherwise, but the big sweetness in it bothers me. "
