"Bottle conditioned. Near black with a tan head. Aroma is chocolate, roast malts and coffee with a hint of liquorice. Lovely rich and roasted taste; excellent mix of flavours, chocolate, fruit, liquorice, coffee, roasted malts, some wine in the finish. Great medium bodied, smooth and creamy mouthfeel. Excellent. "

"Bottle, RBESG 2005 Grand Tasting. Dark brown colour, nearly black. Pleasant roasty aroma, notes of coffee and dark bitter chocolate. Flavour is roasty and smokey, notes of tar. A solid beer!"
