For 30 days this honey-hued beer sleeps in hand selected oak barrels, locked inside a bonded warehouse, gradually assimilating the subtle flavours that reside in the wood. Barrels are then emptied and maturation continues for a further 47 days in a marrying tun where these natural flavours infuse and fall into perfect balance. This 77-day process is unique and produces a delicious, refreshing beer: Aromas of vanilla and toffee, hints of citrus, with a malty, lightly oaked, palate. Deftly balanced and light in texture, soothing and warming in the finish.

"Best before 11/02/10. Pours a beautiful light copper color with a foamy white head. Smells of Vanilla, toffee, oak and whiskey. The taste is sweet and fruity with hints of honey and oak, with a whiskey-like follow that is sure to warm you up. Good amount of lacing and good retention. Lots of flavours to pick out here. Mouthfeel is creamy and smooth with low carbonation. This tasty beer leaves a decent amount of lacing on the glass. Overall very good, heavy but good."

"This beer has a strong whiskey smell with hints of caramel. The color is toffee with a foam head when poured. Overall a very good ale that is loaded with flavors. Lovely taste on the tongue when sipped which leaves a nice tingle on the back of the tongue. Highly recommended."

"Color is a beautiful honey-amber, promising a good ale experience. Aroma has strong fruity overtones. Flavor has a brandy-like bite, but is otherwise fairly typical of a good ale, with smoky/burnt undertones and just a hint of apple or pear. Smooth yet edgy, this is a beer made for sipping rather than guzzling."
