The distinct roasted & chocolate notes are well balanced by a slight bitterness

"Good beer not amazing. Poured dark brown with tan head. Basic aroma chocolate and roast. Flavor was much the same. Just an average porter though. Need a little something special in there."

"I had the Iron Hill Pig Iron Porter on tap at the Newark, DE location. (New Ark for those from Jersey). Anyway this was a very basic porter. It poured a black colored body with a tan head. It had a roasted coffee flavor with a slight bite in the finish. Overall solid. "

"A pretty standard porter. A brownish black appearance with some coffee, caramel, toffee, and chocolate. This one is more on the bitter side. Pretty good."

"I'm a big porter guy. This is a good beer. I'd definitely buy it again if I'm in Iron Hill...but it's really not outstanding. I like a Porter to have a little more to it than just a chocolatey/coffee/roasted malt flavor. Throw something else in to make it interesting. This didn't have any of that. Good, but nothing to make it stand out above dozens of other "good" porters."
