JW Dundee’s Honey Brown is the Original Honey Brown lager. First brewed in 1994, Honey Brown satisfies consumers looking for a fuller flavored but easy to drink beer with a crisp clean finish.
In brewing Honey Brown, we use a dark pilsner style lager and add just the right amount of Manitoba Wildflower Honey. This creates a smooth Honey flavor that fades to a crisp dry finish. We use just enough hops to dry out the honey’s sweetness without lending any unpleasant bitterness to the finish.
We continue to receive accolades from premium tasting competitions including a Gold Medal at the 2002 World Beer Cup.

"Pour is golden with a small white head. Not much for aroma but hints of malt and honey. Taste is surprisingly not bad--honey sweetness definitely shows thru. Overall, a smooth and refreshing beer; good alternative to regular pale lagers."

"It was about average for a honey brown. But, I must be honest - I don't like "honey brown" anything. I've not yet tried one that truly tastes good."

"Offering # 3 out of the 12 pack sampler. I poured a honey brown body with average carbonation, and a thin white cap that left heavy lacing. Aroma was very slight but honey and malts were present. The taste was similar to the smell while the aftertaste of honey lingered. Overall it was a plesant beer, although it wasnt overly sweet, i wouldnt want to drink too many of these in a row, a nice change of pace beer."

"Presentation: Poured from a 12oz bottle into a pint glass.
Appearance: It has a golden amber color with excellent clarity. The head is thick and white in color. It hangs on for a short time and recedes to a thin cap that leaves very little lacing.
Smell: There is a sweet bread malt aroma with some honey.
Taste/Mouth feel: It has a simple bready malt flavor with some sweetness from the honey. The hops are light and add just a hint of bitterness to the finish, which is crisp and clean. The texture is refreshingly smooth with a light to medium body and an average carbonation.
Notes: Honey brown is very refreshing, clean and simple. Not bad at all for the price.

"Pours a nice clear amber with a foamy head similar to Coke that leaves some lacing. Good carbonation - again similar to a soda pop. Aromas of slightly sweet malts with a noticeable honey nose finished with little hops. Taste is slightly sweet with a malty and honey backbone and very little hops. Still very smooth if not thin. "
