"Wasn't sure what to expect at first. Pours a golden/amber color with a small head that disappears quickly. Highly carbonated. Hints of malty sweetness and banana in the aroma. Not much in the taste department--some malts, nuts, and spice. If it was cheap, I'd drink this again but there really wasn't anything special about it."

"750ml bottle
7.1% ABV
I tried this beer in August 23, 2008 after purchasing from one of my local LCBO outlets. The beer poured a translucent reddish gold colour with a thin whitish head that dissipated quickly. The aroma is grainy malt, and some hops. The mouthfeel is medium bodied, slightly creamy, and highly carbonated. The flavour is mainly malty, some pepper spice, and a nice pleasant bitter hoppy finish"

"Bottle: Poured an amber color ale with a medium bubbly head with some average retention but no lacing. Aroma of dry Saaz hops is somewhat dominating with some sweet notes also discernable. Taste is a mix between some sweet malt notes and a dry hoopy and somewhat floral finish of Saaz hops. Body is quite full with a somewhat oily texture and some medium carbonation. "

"750ml bottle: brewed with barley malt, glucose syrup, extract of angelica root, and hops. An intriguing concept, a Belgian based golden ale hopped using the Saaz variety. Unfortunately the execution left me scratching my head. Small subtle aroma, a hint of hops with a papery scent as well as a hint of sugar and banana. Rich amber-gold color, thin head that kept collecting around the outer rim of the glass and good lacing. Offsetting fizzy mouth feel that is empty and stale. The beer gave me a bloated feeling, odd and not very pleasant. Flavors of banana and candi sugar with some bubblegum and clove. The Saaz hop is present in a medium dosage, it shows itself more in the aftertaste. The hops don't really mesh well with the other flavors. This is close to being good, but there are too many offsetting distractions to help this out."

"750ml bottle:
Puts a shimmering gold beer with orange highlights in the goblet...a brisk pour produces a small but sticky cap that laces well.
Aromas of spices, peach and leafy herbs...intersting.
Taste is ok...like a hybrid between a Belgian blonde and a saaz pilsner...we get the spices(angelica, clove, coriander) and peachy fruit tones in tasteful and not overpowering balance as well as the nutty earthy yeast tastes of the blonde ale...all wrapped in the clean, spritzy, lighter dryness of a well hopped Czech pilsner....and some warming from the ABV.
Interesting beer
