In Brewpub Københavns IPA the brewers have combined the best elements from respectively from the English and American India Pale Ales. Hence the name Atlantic IPA as a bridge over the ocean. IPA as beerstyle originally was brewed for the English colonies in India, where an immense amount of hops was added to the beer to increase the durability. This also applies to the Atlantic IPA, where English and American hopssorts are used generously, as well during the boil as the fermentation. Atlantic IPA is a cobbercoloured ale, where the balance between sweetness, bitterness and fruit together with the distinct aroma of citrus and flower gives the beerenthusiast a big taste experience.

"Bottled. Amber colour, small white head. Aroma is flowery and fruity hops along with some earth. Flavour is fruity and earthy and shows some nutty hints. Not very exciting. "

"Dark orange witha low white foam. Weak aroma of grassy hops and cookies. Sharp and unbalanced flavour of grassy bitter hops. No aroma hops in sight. Together with a poor maltprofile, this is not really quaffable. Simplistic bitter finish of grass and rubber."
