"A dark brown appearance with a moderate beige head. The aroma is nutty with some caramel, dark malts, and bread. The flavor is quite malty with some almonds, chocolate, and caramel. The body is rather thin on this one. Overall it was pretty good. "

"Initially I noticed the dark red/brown color of this scotch ale but was disappointed once I began to drink this brew. A thin body that had no taste or aroma of smoked malts. That is a bit surprising because scotch ales are known for a faint smoke taste and/or aroma. It could have been a better rated beer if there was a stronger smoke aroma/taste."
