"Well, the first time I tried this beer was in germany in an irish pub, with an irish friend of mine who insisted we try some kilkenny out, and knock it back with a few triple-glasses of 10 year single malt bushmills to pair with it. Well, at first I noticed that the beer just didn't seem to look, smell, or taste like much more than a weak dark or amber american style beer, I'd been far to accostomed to local german beers after all, but without much delay I'd noticed that these really mild beers were getting me intoxicated much more quickly than the german beers that I was used to. It wasn't a comfortable, deeply saturated, slow, easy, long-lasting buzz like with the german beers, but more of a rapid-fire, hey you're drunk now with no hesitation beginning from the first sip. Which is dissappointing for me, since I prefer to enjoy the taste and character of a beer. And since this beer was rather lack-luster, and more of an quick way to get drunk, much like a cheap malt-liquor from a gas station, I didn't really care for it. Between this kilkenny for free, and some standard local german beers at cost, I'd go buy my german beers, without hesistation."

"Pours a cloudy brown, but as it mixes it turns to a nice reddish-brown with a thick creamy head that lasts throughout the experience. There is little aroma, I suspect due to the thick head. Mild and fine carbonation leads to a sweet caramel taste that finishes much more bitter. The thick taste and creamy head make this a very desirable beer for myself. This is one of my favourites and will continue to be on my top list."
