"Purchased at a convient store in Chelsea, Quebec. Pours a cloudy gold-orange colour with a decent off-white creamy head. Retention is average with a little lacing. The nose is quite hoppy and the mouthfeel, watery. Lots of spices in the taste, but not too punchy. I also taste orange throughout the flavours. Not much of an aftertaste, but decently brewed beer that is still refreshing (and pleasant to most) for a Belgian ale."

"Cap Espoir - bottle. Beer on lees
Decanted a hazey amber-brown...smallish cap..
Aroma: spicy, toasty malts and musty honey tones..very decent.
Peppery mouth feel from the carbonation...front is sweetish and musty with nutty-bready tones from yeast and toasted unmalted grains...later spices add complexity ( corriander?)...finish is dry and a spicy-malt after taste.
Much lighter and drinkable than the heavy Unibroue ales this is a session unfiltered ale....very decent.
