From the first day of the first mash of the first recipe in the first space to this oasis 13 years on the road; We have worked hard to walk in the footsteps of our hero brewers. The Esteemed brewer of California's best Pale Ale, the Noble Brewer of the planet's only legal Steam Beer, and Oregon's Rebel Brewer from Newport. Thirteen years down the road, we have found our own voice as brewers but our admiration for the Great Ones has not dimmed one bit. If we walked well down the hero's path ourselves, perhaps we too have been an inspiration for others. Beer is a Bronze Age business and we feel honored to have left our footprints on its path into history, at the same time leaving our flavors on your buds. Thanks for your trust over the years and we hope you enjoy this specially brewed Hi-Gravity Auburn offering. Beer Speaks. People Mumble! O.G. 1.085 76.92 IBU

"Awesome awesome beer! Pours a semi cloudy amber colour with a huge sticky off white head. Aroma is hoppy. Strong aroma of grapefruit, caramel and lime. Taste is astringent, sort of chewy with big dank hoppy notes. As filling as it is. It is a very clean refreshing beer. Very round on the palate."

"This might be the best Lagunitas beer to date. Seems more IPA like than a strong ale, but whatever. Light orange color with moderate head and lacing. Caramel malt. Just the right balance of sweetness to compensate for the generous citrus and pine bittering hops. Really enjoyable."

"Sweet hoppy beer smoke. Dark copper body to reddish brown with a 1” tan cap looks good but unfortunately there was zero lacing. Standard west coast hop aroma with pool water and a sweet toffee finish. What’s with this aroma the more I smell the more of it I don’t like, I swear I just got some arm pit in here. first sip is hoppy but not as strong as the aroma. Taste is fairly IPAish but with a richer darker malt presence. There is an pine flavour that unfortunately turns soapy on some sips. This diffenatly full flavored and bold, but it’s coming across syrupy almost like this was made from concentrate and not enough water was added. Whatever this is good enough to drink but it has no personality of its own. Dammit I tasted the pool water again."

"Hops. Lots of hops. And malts. And so drinkable.
Damn, so drinkable, I'm having a hard time reviewing it. Poured out a thick tan head that really sticks around and leaves crazy lacing. Burnt orange colour. Aromas that revolve heavily around thick citrus (oranges, grapefruit, lime), some pine and an interesting malt backbone (caramel, biscuit). The thing is that on the aroma and flavour there is something different here... almost a gap between the hops and malts... a void? I do not know how to describe it. The flavour is very IIPAish - huge hops with pine, grapefruit, still thick, heavy and sweet malts, same as the aroma. Smoothish mouth feel, thick malts keeps this beer attentive. Never really separated the alcohol from the pine an medicinal hops. Medium full bodied. Leaves hops and some sweet malts in the mouth. This is a mighty fine beer... then again, it's been awhile since I've went down this style road. Incredibly easy drinking and only 8.3%. As yummy as it is, this is not an exceptional beer. It's good though. Get a case and get f'd up!

"Orange-brown color, strong aroma of floral and pine. Heavy pine and citrus (grapefruit and orange peel) hop characters. Feels a bit sticky/resiny, but finishes very clean. Goes down oh-so-smoothly. A fantastic find."
