"(2002 vintage, thanks Bov!). Dark reddish brown colour, mediumsized brown head. Aroma is alcohol, caramel malts, some spices and raisins. Flavour is spices, raisins, caramel malts, toffee, some cinnamon and clove. Nice sting on the tongue in the finish (of the alcohol). Pleasant and well aged thing. "

"re-rate, 12/27/2002: dark fruits are showing up in this almost 2 years old beer. Notes of licorice. The flavour is still sweet and full but the finish has developed a long bitterness with some smokey notes. It still lacks of complexity but should still improve while aging.
10/5/2001: dark amber colour, fine head, very malty, caramel, very sweet "
