"650ml bomber:
Pours a clear dark burnuished copper ale in the glass with a frothy 2 finger cap that retains well and laces.
Sweet malty aromas on top of musty over-ripe fruit tones with a slight smoke to it...delectable authentic scotch ale smells!
Medium-full body, fair malt spine, silky mouth feel, sweet roasty character.
A lovely dose of sweet toasty caramel malts in the front...little hop balance but the yeast fruity notes with the peat smoke give the mid palate a musty-fruity- toffee decernment....finishes wet and slightly warming with a sweet after taste.
A fair stab at the Scotch ale style, drinkable and malty.

"Bottle: Poured a clear medium brown color ale with a huge bubbly slightly off-white head with average retention. Carbonation is quite low and body is a bit thin. Aroma of caramel malt is easily identifiable and quite enjoyable. Taste is also dominated by quite sweet caramel malt with a very subtle bitter ending. Again, the fresher the sample the better this is since it seems to be declining quite rapidly once it hit the shelves."

"This is a good beer but maybe just a little too conservative for a scotch ale.Sweet and fruity the flavour was good the malt a bit too thin, but ok for the hopps, nonetheless a great beer to serve to beer lovers."

"This Scottish traditional strong ale pours a deep amber colour with a darker tanned head that leaves some lace. The aromas are of bread and malt. The taste has mild caramel notes with slight bitterness. Hints of banana bread all around. Not a bad brew, but just not close to a good scottish ale."
