"My last beer from Le Cheval....and a good one...tapped a dense black...dark brown foamy cap...smell of vanilla is predominate, sweet chocolate and alcohol..almost smelled like a dessert liquer. Smooth oily body, vanilla is present in flavor as it mingles with cocoa, spice and a hint of smoke...finish is sweet. No sharp edges on this stout ( the aging I suppose has mellowed it). Very tastey rendition of a caribbean stout and a nice treat once in a while but I could not drink it all the time...too sweet.
