Our latest offering attempts to address an old saying that has plagued mankind since its inception. Many times we've heard, "more is not always better". Invariably the person on the receiving end of such a statement scowls at the ramifications. Here at Left Hand we realize that life cannot be reduced to or understood in absolute terms. Our latest addition to our lineup attempts to take exception with such broad statements about the human condition. Chainsaw is a connoisseur version of our award-winning Sawtooth Ale, designed to befuddle silly generalizations about life. We hope you enjoy!

"Such an amazing treat, real malty with a complex sweetness that is balance out by just the right amount of fruity/evergreen hops. Right mood, right mindset, right beer no doubt about it. Dark amber color with a lasting tan head and leggy lacing. Fresh malty aroma with a good sweetness and complimenting hop nose. Biscuits, fruits, and pine o' plenty. Full bodied, smooth and exceptionally drinkable for such a strong ale. Wonderful sipping treat to kick back with. Flavor mirrors the robust aroma only it's turned up a notch. Sweet rolls, oranges, nuts, caramel, and very floral. "

"Aroma on this fine ale is very malty and sweet with raisin bread coming through as well as some dark, rich figs as well as some chocolate and slight molasses with a tad bit of alcohol. Appearance is tremendous when held to the light and is thick-like and creamy looking and is a burgundy-red to warn mahogany with a medium-sized head that is creamy and frothy and is a light-tan in color and remains on top diminishing slightly to creamy lacing that sticks to the glass. Mouthfeel is very rich and creamy with tons of complexity as well as balance with a palate that is creamy and smooth with a tad bit of dryness towards the end with some slight alcohol. Flavor is creamy with some chocolate and cocoa with some herbal notes with an aftertaste that offers some caramel malts with some slightly ripened fruit overtone and has a finish that is sweet as well as slightly dry with some alcohol lingering. Overall, a great strong ale here for sure and recommended and definitely would be one good for aging six months; maybe one year... "

"Pretty damn rustic ... very smooth and alcohol is pretty well hidden ..'i'm caca for coocoo puffs' ... lacing is premium stuff ... caramel, molasses, some dust, ... a good brew but a stretch at $11 ... nothing spectacular, just the same old left hand bullshit..."

"Bottled. Aroma is caramel malts, mild spicing (mainly cardamom), hops, malts and some mild notes of fruits. Flavour is quite much the same with the focus on hops and cardamom. "

"Pours out in a clear dark reddish amber colour with a small off-white foam. Sweet, fruity and rather hoppy aroma of black cherries, pine-needles, caramel, nuts, sweet pears, resin and melon. Medium to full-bodied with notes of caramel, resin, nuts and grapefruit. Clean mouth-feel. Long clean finish of resin, pine-needles, pears and alcohol. "
