"I’d really like to see how the unsmoked version compares, but this is a pretty darn tasty rauchbier. Rich, caramelly malt balances with the smoke well. It’s not so overly smoked that it goes offensive like some of the other smoked beers that weren’t porters that I’ve had."

"Bomber - Pours a medium fuzzy brown with a great head. Aroma is malty with a touch of smoke. Flavor is malty with a touch of smoke, along with a bit of dark fruit. Overall good, and within style."

"750 ml bottle. Pours a dark red with a huge fizzy off white head that retains well.
The aroma is vegetal and oakey with some chocolate malt and cola and a little fruit and a little smoke.
The flavor is grassy sweet caramel malts with a little smokiness and some sour fruitiness. There is a bit of a bitter finish that comes out more as it warms. The mouthfeel is medium to full with sharp carbonation.
Overall, a decent beer, but a little on the sweet side with some off aspects. It's also a little pricey at $10."
