First brewed in 2001 to celebrate the fall season in true German fashion. Available in September and October or each year, our traditional Marzen style bier is brewed with Munich, Caramel, and a blend of Pale malts. Hallertan, Tettnang, Perle, and Cluster hops provide the aroma for this well balanced, smooth, festive lager.

"Pours out a deep orange color with a small white head that disipates quickly and leaves minimal lacing. Flavor is of spices, with a bit of a malty caramel finish."

"A little below average oktoberfest brew. Very little aroma or taste, some hints of malts and a slight caramel finish. A dark amber body, with average carbonation leads to a thin white head that didnt leave much lace. Smooth mouth feel, with no aftertaste."

"Presentation: It was poured from a brown 12oz bottle into a dimpled mug.
Appearance: It has a light amber color with very good clarity. It builds up a thick creamy head which is off white in color. The head has great retention and makes lots of slick lacing.
Smell: The aroma has lots of leafy hops with sweet caramel and hints of toasted grain.
Taste/Mouth feel: It has a mildly sweet buttery malt with some light toasted grain, mild caramel notes and a touch of spicy and floral hops. The palate has a slightly thin, slick and smooth texture with soft carbonation and a medium body.
Notes: Overall it's a nice easy drinking but average Oktoberfest.

"Of all the Oktoberfests I've tried, this is one of the worst which doesn't surprise me based on previous experiences with Leinie. Seems like a macro version of the style--lacking in flavor and aroma."

"Pours a copper orange color with practically no head. Aroma is caramel, malt, and spice. Flavor is a bitter malty spaice with a very faint caramel flavor. Not very impressive."
